The day started out with me getting up and getting my kids ready to go and of course loading up all of our crawlers and double checking to make sure we didn't forget anything important like lipos. then it was off to pick up a couple buddies and get some breakfast and make the drive down to Lebanon,Oregon.
We arrived at our destination Santiam hobbies. we were all greeted by several nice people letting us know where we could set up for the indoor course and that they would get us an extension cord for power which I thought was pretty cool considering I didn't ask. We then decided to go ahead and unpack everything and get ready.we were then notified that we could practice on the course for a little while before the comp So I grab my truck put a lipo in it and started off to see if my truck needed any tweaking but the old beast performed well and I was happy.a short time later they announce that the comp would start and began to tell us the point system/rules and that the course had a 15 minute time limit. At this point everybody began to put their trucks together and get batteries put in after several people went through the course it was now my turn.
I must say for a small indoor course it was very challenging my truck had a couple of small hang ups and my scalerfab rock sliders to a beating but performed very nice I ended up doing the course and just over 5 minutes time which was good enough to take home the 3rd place finish.
