Event Recap:
Call to Crawl Event #6 & 2nd Annual North Vs South
This past weekend, I attended two events to finish off the season, 500 kilometers apart. Both were a lot of fun, and well worth the long drives!
Saturday – 2nd Annual North vs South
This was a TTC style event, with a mud bog, hillclimbs, truck pull, and a number of timed courses. The day started out a bit chilly, but warmed up within an hour or two. I managed to tie for 2nd place in the 1.9 class in the end, despite the fierce competition! Much fun was had by all, and between admission and raffle tickets, over 900$ was raised for charity for Toy Mountain!

Sunday – Call to Crawl #6: Series Final
As the name implies, this was the last event in a series that I have been participating in all summer. It was quite a rainy day, and not the largest turnout due to that, but a great time was had nonetheless! As with the previous events in the series, it was a G6-esque run, this one having forty gates and 10 bonus gates.
This year had taken quite the toll on my main rig, and on the second-to-last gate, I managed to strip out my steering servo. Nonetheless, with some assistance, I was able to get through the last gate and last bonus gate while only somewhat being able to turn right. In addition, my temporary homemade front bumper ended up being held on with zip-ties for most of the event. It’s just as well that its getting a rebuild with some ScalerFab parts anyway this winter!
The final results for the series have not been posted yet, but it is going to be a close-run thing, no matter which way it turns out.
