Summer/Fall Recap

Hello everyone !! I want to start by thanking Troy and Casey for the great sponsorship and products. You guys are great !

Now for a quick catch-up! Let's go back to May first, I went up to Kentucky to run an event up there that Story and Shawn held. Got there Friday afternoon, got my campsite set up just in time for a rather cold steady rain, that pretty much cancelled everything for that night. Saturday morning was a little better with no rain, but quite chilly for the end of May. On with the fun. I decided to give the Wraith a chance for a win, so ran class 3. We hit the trails around 10am and they proved to be quite a challenge from the rain, but the Scalerfab Wraith didn't care one bit. I ran the 8 plus miles of trails without a single problem. The armor held up perfectly as usual and got the win for class 3.

Earlier this fall, I ran in the first qualifier for The Southeast Shootout (coming Dec.3rd.) This was a different style of competition than I am used too. It was a SORRCA event. I really enjoyed it, it put pressure on the drivers to be skillful and pay close attention to their lines. I was really surprised how well I did- placed second for the day for the N.C. team! That puts me in the shootout along with 9 other N.C. teammates! The last five will be added after the second qualifier on Nov. 12th.

My latest event was at Knobby Creek in North Carolina on Oct. 29th. Wow! what an awesome event and place. We had 72 drivers that came out to take the challenge. This was a G6 style event with bonus gates and bonus courses. I ran my new SCX10-2 that I won at RRW Tenn. as a door prize. Man, I really like this rig. Axial has done right.

Of course the stock Cherokee body and bumpers had to go. She now wears a Comanche body and ScalerFab silders and front bumper, BFG Krawlers on RCFWD white spoke steelies.

The trails there are very challenging and there are a lot of nice scale buildings and scenery. The bonus courses are awesome especially the BIG Rock Mountain, that turned out to be my favorite place. I was the only driver to make it to the top ! That in the end gave me the bonus points to win the 1.9 class !!

Now to take a rest and get ready for the Shootout.
