RC4WD ECSC Recap

I recently attended the rc4wd East Coast Scale Challenge. Let me start by saying, what an experience! If you are ever able to make it I highly recommend it. The courses were tough and I loved it. Driving from out of state makes the trip worth it when your driving skills are challenged as much as they were there. This was my first year attending and I ran class 1, class 2 and class 3.

Friday, I ran class 1. On course one, I had some bad luck and pointed out just after the 3rd gate. During course two, my truck started having electrical issues resulting in a dnf on that course as well. Finally, on course 3, the electrical issues continued when I pulled to the start line. I had to winch across the start, through the first gate in order to not receive a DNS. Regardless of not finishing any course, I still got 23rd out 47 drivers.

After class 1 was completed, we moved on to run class 3. These courses were awesome! I started strong with a score of 19 on course 1, the second best score on that course. Unfortunately I made a mistake on the next course and ran out of time, as well as on course 3. The score for course 1 carried me to a 6th place finish in class 3.

Taking the top ten of class 3 into a top truck challenge Sunday I had some electrical issues early on causing me to miss one of the ttc events.

Saturday came with great excitement for class 2, I was able to finish 2 of 3 courses landing me the 24th spot out of 59 trucks. They may have not been the best scores but it was great experience and a great time and in the end that's what really matters!
