Florida Rain Dance...

While most of the country has been dealing with snow, we here in south Florida have been dealing with nonstop rain. I’d like to think that my anti rain dance last week resulted in a rain free weekend, but in reality we simply got lucky and had a break in the rain for a few days.
The SFSC crew took advantage of the break in weather and showed up in full force to do some work on the course and to get things ready for our Fun in the Sun Run coming up later this month! Aside from the normal course maintenance SFSC added a few new obstacles to the course to put drivers to the test. SFSC member James Cosenza built a challenging V trap that really forces drivers to slow down and think about their movements. SFSC member Richard Taylor built an elevated frame twister with a nice little drop on either side, this too forces drivers to slow down and really take notice of where their tires are and where they need to be.
Of course we had to test the new obstacles, so we all grabbed our rigs and got to work! I can confirm they are awesome and competitors this month should have a lot of fun navigating them at the competition in a few weeks! I won’t lie there is a really good chance I will have to buy a General Akbar figure to place on top of the V trap obstacle! If that reference is lost on you then shame on you!
