Santiam Hobbies Comp #2

"It's a good day for a comp", my daughter says to me as we load the truck to head down to SantiamHobbiesLLC in Lebanon,Oregon for the indoor crawler comp.

As we are pulling into the parking lot, my daughter says to me, "This is going to be fun."

I replied with, "What's going to be the best part?"

With no hesitation as she's getting out of the truck, she replies, "Because I'm going to kick your butt at crawling today!" lol.

We got a table and set up shop making sure the trucks were good to go. After we made sure everything was good we went and checked in and payed our $5 fee and got 2 raffle tickets for the scx10 that they were giving away.

By then, it was time to start the comp. Everything was running smoothly; as soon a one competitor got halfway through the course the next one started making the comp run pretty quickly. Everyone was having a great time laughing and joking as competitors made their way through the course. When it was my turn, my Scalerfab jeep was running good. I did have 1 issue on a bridge that made me have to reset my truck back on course but I still finished.

Then it was my daughter, Nevaeh's, turn and she did awesome with a bone stock scx10. Guess what! She almost beat me time-wise, just a 50-second time difference between us! Let me tell you, I'm 1 happy poppa.

Finally, it was time for the raffle for the scx10. They had Nevaeh pick a ticket out of coffee can and I couldn't believe it...SHE PICKED MY NAME OUT! We got to bring home a new member to the team ScalerFab fleet!

All in all, what a awesome day of crawling with great people!
