This past weekend (April 3rd) I attended the first event of the Ohio guru spring series in Howard ohio. Honey run waterfall was the comp spot and it made for some awesome pictures. Despite being in the 20s when I arrived it turned out to be a better day then expected. I believe their was just under 30 people in attendance.
The classes being run were 1.9 and 2.2. Two courses were setup with 8 gates each plus a bonus gate. The gates were tough, one gate was setup on a rock that forced you to hang one tire off the edge and make a 90 degree turn next to the waterfall. This difficult gate resulted in one truck tumbling down the waterfall, surprisingly landing on his wheels. He was able to retrieve his truck with no damage and finish his run. I managed to walk away with 4th place in the 1.9 class and 5th place in the 2.2 class.Their was some good drivers there which made the competition tough but in the end everyone had a good time.
