Recon @ The Rapids

The day started out getting up at 6a.m and out the door at 6:30. To grab some quick breakfast and head out to Keizer Rapids in keizer,oregon the location of "Recon @ the rapids" presented by five0three RC.

We started to set up the location a few minutes after 7 with getting pop up tents put up first because it was already drizzling and the forecast called for some more rain before the event started..... you just have to love Oregon's liquid sunshine.

We did a quick run-through of all the prizes from are awesome sponsors such as scalerfab, bullrope RC, mip, boom racing, Pro-Line racing, team K&K Hardware, rc plus and asiatees....

After setting up 150 gate markers and 21 driver challenge gate's it was time to start getting competitors checked in. Once we were done checking in the 71 competitors it was time for a quick drivers meeting to go over the rules.

Oh and mother nature decided to let us have our event with almost zero rain..lol

After the drivers meeting competitors got the choice of which stage they wanted to go to first we had two courses with 75 Gates each and a 21 gate driver challenge course.

About halfway through the event we started to have raffles for some of prizes from our sponsors.

It was a great day of people laughing joking and having a great time with positive attitudes. We also seen a lot of people come together to help others out with either a broken truck or needing a battery to just needing help with an obstacle. it's great to see so many people come together helping one another to complete the courses.
