Monster Showdown in Boston

This past weekend I had the opportunity to fly out to Boston, MA and drive down to RI for the Monster Showdown. I have to say this event was absolutely incredible, B-C Brian and the Boston crawlers did a fantastic job organizing it. There was a huge cash payout and tons of prizes for the drivers. I was unable to bring my scale truck on the plane as I was not willing to take any trucks that wouldn't fit in my carry on. I brought my 2.2 mod and 2.2 sporty. The traction out there is absolutely the most grippy I have ever seen, it tears up trucks. 2.2 mod was ran on Saturday with 3 courses in am and 3 in afternoon with a finals course for the top 10. After the morning I had successfully finished all 3 courses, which by no means was easy. Then after lunch first course, brake a steering ackerman arm, get a dnf. The 2nd course truck is repaired with a carbon fiber ackerman arm and with the grip of the rocks I only made 1 gate before that broke, so off to find someone with a aluminum to replace it with and found one but really short, but would allow me to run, so last course all I needed to do was finish and I'd make top 10. Running the course progress gate 9 and my servo quits working and am unable to progress gate 10, so once again another dnf and I finish 12th for the day which I was still not disappointed with. The people and scenery was amazing. The courses were the toughest I've ever ran. Here's some pics from the weekend.
