Well, we are into the last week of the count down for RC4WD Scale Truck Challenge in the beautiful Disney, OK. As per usual, trucks break, and parts are delayed. So it's crunch time. We camped over the weekend up in Roaring River State Park just across the boarder in lovely Southwest Missouri. Of course the RCs came along. When we left last week we had to wait for the mail to show up for some more parts. As soon as camp was set up the kid and I jumped in and started work. We went over our rigs thoroughly trying to make sure everything was in good working order. Then started working on the XR10 upgrade for the kids G6. We got started only to discover dear old dad left the tap and die set at home as well as his wire for the lights. So needless to say not much got accomplished. We did, however get the G6 switched back to a brushed setup. You probably won't recall, but at one of the competitions earlier in the year he managed to "cook" his motor. We then switched to a brushless set up thinking that would be more to his liking. He soon decided this was far from the truth and informed me that he wanted his old motor back. He said something about "Your idea, and you said faster is better" or something. Here is a photo of the armatures. The one got a little hot. So it will be a short week with all that needs to be done. We're hoping to have everything in order and ready for the comp before we leave. Got the ScalerFab trail armor snugged up. We're going to rub the paint off them. I'm excited to be part of Team ScalerFab this year at this event. Stay tuned!
