801rcc "Dugway Derby" at White Rock

It was a rainy day out at White Rock . The rocks were very slick from the rain and it left everyone searching for traction. My usual comp partner was in Colorado at a wedding so I paired up with my good friend Brandon for the day. We helped each other through many of the obstacles and worked well as a team . Unfortunately he broke down around gate 96 and I had to finish the remaining 104 gates on my own. I made it to gate 113 before the downpour and decided to wait it out under one of the canopies. A few people left and after an hour or so the rain slowed to a sprinkle. The course was now very wet with several streams running through the course. I grabbed my g6 ,went back to gate 113 and continued on. It as now quite muddy and wet and I slipped on the rocks a few times but I wasn't stopping now. Around gate 160 a couple of the guys came over to give me words of encouragement and walk through the rest of the course with me . It was awesome, such great people at the comps here !! I finally made it through all 200 gates and found a trail bonus along the way. The scores were posted a few days later and was super excited to see that I had placed 3rd in the 1.9 trail class. My best finish yet . Thank you to all of the guys that make the 801rcc comps possible and to my sponsors for believing in me .
