You already know that ScalerFab Trail Armor is build to last, but there is always going to be a little wear and tear. Touching up is easy!

Simply take a Q-tip and a can of Rustoleum Truck Bed Coating. Spray a little inside the top and use the q-tip to dab any exposed areas on your trail armor. Blending should be easy due to the rough texture.

However, If you are like any of us and bash your rigs often, you may way to completely recoat your armor. Here is a simple step-by-step guide to making your ScalerFab Trail Armor look brand new!

Here are a few pics of what my armor looks like when needing a new coating.

Step 1. Wash ScalerFab armor with Dawn dish soap and hot water. Step 2. Get a good brand of 60 grit sandpaper and sand as much as possible with what elbow grease you can muster. Make sure to get as many of the tough areas as possible. Step 3. Wash ScalerFab armor again with Dawn dish soap and let air dry.

Step 4. Spray armor with Rustoleum Truck Bed Coating in thin coats. Spray a light coat from a upwards angle from the right side and another light coat from a upwards angle from the left side. Let air dry for 30-60 minutes.

Coat the entire piece in a final layer in a thicker coat without causing runs. Let air dry for an hour or two, and you're good to go!

Step 5. Beat the crap out of it again for another few months 'till it needs painting again.

Happy Scaling!
